Stress…. seems to be the word that best describes the mental status of candidates in written exams. Pancyprian exams are very stressful, as they are the first critical evaluation that will judge the students’ choices of studies.
A certain degree of stress is normal, because it helps the student to concentrate better and be alert. The problem starts when the stress goes beyond the limits and overwhelms the students, thus blocking their performance.
1. Set a reading schedule
The role of the program for effective reading is quite important. Determine the time schedule in which you should complete your study and stay focused on it throughout the year. You must start following a program as soon as possible.

2.Organize your reading space
Based on the program you have already set. Choose a day that you will dedicate in organising the space where you will read. It must be tidy and well organised. When your space is clean and tidy, it will be much easier to read effectively without getting bored.
3.Have the necessary breaks.
It is really helpful to take frequent breaks from reading, to relax and discuss your concerns. Continuous reading for many hours doesn’t help at all. You can take breaks of 15-30 minutes every 2 hours of reading, as long as you continue reading then.

4.Follow a balanced diet
Try to eat healthy and do not skip any of the 5 proposed meals. Nutrition plays a big role in brain function. So make sure you eat right.
5.The benefits of a good sleep.
It is vital to sleep adequately and rest your mind. Lack of sleep is probably one of the most important mistakes we make during the exam period. Remember that a good night’s sleep won’t only relax you physically but also mentally.

6. Listen and follow the examiner's instructions carefully.
7. Try to manage your time.
8. Regarding the written exams, do not forget that time is not unlimited, so do not stay long in the same exercise-question "start first from what you know better".
9. In a report, it’s better to write in a simple way, avoiding mistakes, than to look for complex ideas that you will not be able to develop and support properly.
10. In oral exams, the examiners will try in every way to make you feel comfortable. So make sure you are calm.
11. Answer all the questions, even the ones that you are not sure about or don’t know. Bet in luck!
12. Have a bottle of water with you. It will help you not to become dehydrated during the test.
Ιn general, you should remember that maintaining composure and good time management are two main factors for a successful performance in exams.
Confidence, optimism and good preparation are the best characteristics for success.
